ACCOMODATION

There is such a vast array of accomodation types on Bali, depending on your budget and style you want, ranging from super cheap hostels, to lavish luxury villas, and everything in between!

HOSTELS

No popular tourist destination would be complete without super cheap hostels! And with prices starting from as little as 60k IDR per night, they are the perfect solution for those travelling on a tight budget!

HOME STAY

I was apprehensive about home stays at first, but they are completely different from what I was expecting! They bridge the gap between hostels and villa style hotels, cheap but quality lodging, generally ranging between 200k to 400k IDR per night. More often than not, you’ll have a nice spacious room, with ensuite, and basic breakfast offered.

HOTEL

There is a huge number of hotel options, especially the main tourist strip between Seminyak and Kuta! Some are based on Villa style lodging, several nice rooms in a small group, and normally with a pool. These tend to be quieter, and very casual yet comfortable. Traditional hotels are found literally in their hundreds on Bali, from single story, to multi level, some even with rooftop pools and bars. Generally prices start from about 200k IDR per night, and go very very high up, depending on the level of service and quality you seek.

RESORT

Resorts are designed to provide the holiday maker with an inclusive experience, you don’t need to leave the resort grounds, as all the food you need and activities are provided for you. This kind of situation does suit some people perfectly, to just relax, not move around too much, and enjoy that space and time in a very relaxing way. And because resorts are generally cover a large area of land, you will find them mostly around Nusa Dua, with some others found near Uluwatu, Canggu and Ubud

APARTMENT

Mainly found around the high density Kuta area, apartments are available in single bedroom studio setups, to family friendly multi bedroom options.

VILLA

The Villa is what immediately comes to peoples mind when staying in Bali, multiple bedrooms that are either fully detached bungalows, or shared walls but still have individual bathrooms for each room, and almost always feature open plan style kitchen/ meals areas, and a pool. And lets face it, staying in the tropics, you want your own pool! These are more prevalent in the less densely populated areas such as Uluwatu, Canggu and Ubud
