Bali

When to go?

Bali is very close to the equator, which means it has two primary seasons, wet and dry season. Dry season goes from April until October, and generally will see wonderfully sunny days at an average of about 32 degrees celsius by day and about 24 by night. And winds generally prevailing from the south east direction.

Wet season, as you’d expect, sees a lot of rain, while you will get some sunny days, or at least decent rain free periods each day, you should go during this time expecting it to rain, so pack and plan accordingly. This means the popular waterfalls will be quite dangerous with high volumes of water passing them with more debris (fallen tree branches, small rocks etc). And the west coast battered by westerly winds. This time of year you can expect temps slightly warmer than dry season, and much more humid when the sun does come out..

Generally tourism peaks in early dry season, that is May and June. And also a secondary peak in late December for all those going on Christmas holidays.
