Canggu is quite a large area, and consist of the popular beaches at Brawa, Batu Bolong and Echo beach. Here you will find many hostel, hotel, homestay and villa options, as well as restaurant and bars.

In addition to this, you will find many gyms and yoga spots, as this area does cater to the more health conscious individuals.

A scooter is almost essential for getting around this area, as places of interest are quite spread out. But beware, the infamous ‘shortcut’ has claimed many cars, and scooters alike!

The Canggu vibe is that of surfers and yogis

For surfers, you will find an assortment of beach and reef breaks for beginners and intermediate riders. Surf schools can be found here for beginners, particularly at Batu Bolong, which provides a great protected section close to shore at mid to high tides for those just starting out.
