NUSA LEMBONGAN

Nusa Lembongan has a very chilled vibe, and consists of a few main accomodation areas.

The first is the north west coast, which features several beach club resort style of accomodation right on the beach, and homestays and hostels on the main road cutting through. This region extends down too the harbour, where you arrive and leave from. I would also recommend this area to stay if your looking for waves, as 3 of the 4 main spots are directly in front, although 500m off shore. You can get a water taxi for 50k return, or paddle it if you wish. You’ll also have a fantastic view of Bali’s active volcano, Mt Agung, from the northern beaches here.

The next region covers the coast from the harbour around to Tamarind Beach, theres actually limited beaches here, and focus more so on the panoramic views on offer. Also to note, here you’ll find the fourth surf spot, Playgrounds, but does need a decent swell to start working.

The next region is Mushroom Beach, a smaller area, but very picturesque and chilled/ hole in the wall kind of vibe. Here you’ll be able to find many water sports on offer during the day, such as tow rides and various diving charters.

From here, there is accomodation scattered along the coast, past Dream Beach and just north of the Yellow Bridge, which is the physical link between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan.

Scooters are recommended for getting around if you intend to explore, this will allow you to get over to Nusa Ceningan as well, which does have stunning sunset bars on the south west corner, a short ride from YELLOW BRIDGE.

I also recommend taking money over from Bali, there are some ATMs on Nusa Lembongan but due to limited police presence, all ATMs have card readers on them. Take a minimum of 500k IDR per day per person when your not on Bali, and if you didn’t pre pay for your accomodation, find out if they will accept credit card payment or if they accept cash only. If cash only, add this into your budget
